All of our Authentic Alberta Ammolite Freeform gemstones are carefully and thoroughly stabilized then meticulously hand polished to a brilliant shine with no coating! Each gemstone comes with its own Certificate of Authentication and detailed list of specifications.

Note: Ammolite gems (except rare solid "Imperial" grade) are commonly called "doublets" by trade convention because the gem layer remains attached to its natural matrix. Some stones which have a weak or faulty matrix backing have had their original matrix replaced with a new natural stone backing for structural support (a true doublet in the strict gemological sense) All stones are also vacuum-stabilized with epoxy resin forced into the material to make it stable enough for cutting and everyday wear — a structural treatment only, not a color or clarity enhancement, with all surface resin polished away.
